As part of New Kuwait vision for a sustainable future, the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Planning and Development (GSSCPD) has developed the concept of Kuwait Sustainable Development Award (KSDA) to recognize and promote sustainable business practices. The award intends to encourage participation among government organizations, private organizations, and NGOs to contribute toward the Kuwait National Development Plan (KNDP) and UN Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) targets. KSDA aims to assist Organizations in their development by utilizing tools and mechanisms based on the principles of sustainable development.
The award categories have been developed based on a constructive alignment of frameworks and standards including Kuwait National Development Plan (KNDP), UN Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), and Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI).
Patronage & Ceremony
KSDA is delighted to take place under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. During the KSDA ceremony event, KSDA will celebrate the achievements and present trophies to the 8 winners.
Each selected award category has in itself a plethora of criteria designed to systematically ensure that winners accurately deserved their intended categories. Further, each criterion is aligned with national and international frameworks (ie. KNDP, UNSDGs, and GRI).
Transparent & Completely Free Process
There are no charges to participant companies throughout the whole process and registration is free of charge. Throughout the process KSDA will have a judging panel that has been selected from various institutions, representing eminent project judges, to assess the winning Organizations overall in the 8 award categories.
